Adam Hills is one of Australia’s most popular comedians and television personalities.

Known for his uplifting comedy, sharp wit, and spontaneous style, Adam Hills has built a loyal fanbase across Australia and around the world. The Guardian described him as:

Award-Winning Stand-Up Comedy Career

Adam Hills has become a festival favourite at the Adelaide Fringe, Melbourne International Comedy Festival, and the Edinburgh Fringe, regularly selling more than 10,000 tickets during the Edinburgh season.

He is also the only Australian comedian to perform at the US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. In addition, he has appeared at Ireland’s Cat Laughs Kilkenny Comedy Festival and Montreal’s Just for Laughs Festival.

His Edinburgh shows in 2001, 2002, and 2003 were all nominated for the prestigious Perrier Award.

His 2002 show Happy Feet won the inaugural Best of the Fest Award, while Cut Loose won the Radio Forth Award for Best Comedy.

Later, Adam won a Chortle Award for Best Compere in the UK, while his 2007 show Joymonger earned a Helpmann Award for Best Comedy Performance in Australia.

Adam Hills on Spicks and Specks

In Australia, Adam Hills is best known as host of the hit ABC music quiz show Spicks and Specks, alongside Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst.

The show attracted more than 1.2 million viewers each week and received multiple AFI and Logie Award nominations.

Adam Hills was nominated for four Logie Awards, including the prestigious Gold Logie, and won GQ Magazine’s TV Personality of the Year Award in 2007.

Live Tours and International Success

Adam toured Australia with The Spicks and Speck-tacular, performing to more than 75,000 fans nationwide.

He also hosted the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Paralympics, broadcast throughout Australia, South Africa, and Hong Kong.
