Television Career
In 2010, Emma Freedman joined Weekend Today as a weather presenter, replacing Felicity Whelan. She later shared weather presenting duties on Today alongside Steven Jacobs.
Emma also became a regular sports presenter on the Nine Network’s Wide World of Sports and continued to build her profile as a respected television personality and sports journalist.
In December 2014, Emma Freedman departed the Nine Network following company-wide cost-cutting measures.
Radio and Entertainment Career
In January 2015, Emma Freedman and Jules Lund were announced as hosts of The Scoopla Show, which aired on Today’s Hit Network.
Later in 2015, Emma competed in and won the fifteenth season of Dancing with the Stars alongside professional dance partner Aric Yegudkin. She became the first female celebrity contestant to win the competition since 2007.
In September 2015, Emma’s role expanded at Southern Cross Austereo when she was appointed national drive news presenter on the Hit Network.
In February 2016, Emma re-signed with Southern Cross Austereo to host Hit 30 and Take 40 Australia across the Hit Network. Later that year, in October 2016, she moved from the Hit Network to Triple M to co-host The Grill Team.
Return to Nine Network
In March 2016, Emma Freedman rejoined the Nine Network to host Wide World of Sports. Alongside her television and radio career, Emma has also become a published author, further showcasing her versatility in the Australian media industry.
In March 2017, Emma Freedman was appointed host of Sports Sunday on the Nine Network.
