Curtis Stone is an internationally acclaimed Australian celebrity chef, television presenter, author, and restaurateur known for his modern cooking style, engaging television personality, and successful global culinary career. Originally studying for a Bachelor of Business, Curtis Stone chose to follow his passion for cooking and began his culinary career at the age of 18 at Melbourne’s Savoy Hotel.
Culinary Career and Restaurants
After completing his chef qualifications in Australia, Curtis Stone moved to London where he trained under legendary chef Marco Pierre White at the renowned Café Royal and Mirabelle restaurants.
His talent and leadership quickly saw him promoted to head chef at White’s Quo Vadis restaurant, helping establish his reputation within the international culinary industry.
In February 2014, Curtis Stone opened his first restaurant, Maude, in Beverly Hills, California. The restaurant gained critical acclaim and further cemented his status as a world-class chef and restaurateur.
Television Career
Curtis Stone first gained television exposure in Australia through the travelling cooking series Surfing the Menu alongside fellow chef Ben O’Donoghue.
He later appeared on numerous cooking and lifestyle programs in the United Kingdom including Dinner in a Box, Good Food Live, and Saturday Kitchen. Curtis also hosted the first season of Australia’s My Restaurant Rules.
In 2006, Curtis Stone launched the internationally successful TLC series Take Home Chef in the United States. The program became a global hit and introduced him to audiences worldwide.
