Shelley Craft is an Australian television presenter and media personality best known for her long career across Channel Seven and the Nine Network. She has worked on some of Australia’s most recognisable lifestyle, children’s and reality television programs, as well as major sporting event coverage.
Her career spans hosting, reporting, segment producing and live television presenting across entertainment, sport and lifestyle formats.
Early Career at Channel Seven and Saturday Disney
Shelley Craft began her television career in the early 1990s after completing a work experience placement at Channel Seven in Brisbane.
This opportunity led to a role as a production assistant on a local program, and shortly after, she was offered a co-host position on the popular children’s television show Saturday Disney.
She remained with Saturday Disney for six years as both host and segment producer, becoming a familiar face to Australian children’s television audiences.
Although she left the program in 2002, she occasionally returned for special appearances until 2005, including a milestone episode in 2009 celebrating 1,000 episodes.
The Great Outdoors and Major Reporting Roles
In late 2001, Shelley Craft joined the travel and lifestyle program The Great Outdoors as a reporter. During this time, she covered travel stories and lifestyle segments across Australia and internationally.
She also contributed to major Channel Seven sporting broadcasts, including coverage of the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games as part of the Sunrise team, the 2002 Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, and Melbourne Cup broadcasts from 2002 to 2004.
