John McGrath is one of the most influential figures in the Australian residential property industry. He founded his real estate company from his lounge room in 1989 and it is now one of the world’s fastest growing real estate groups, selling over $12 billion of residential property this year.

John McGrath started in real estate as a junior letting clerk in his teens, renting empty flats, but soon developed a desire to sell the properties he was renting so he switched to a career in real estate sales at age 20.

Within two years John McGrath had established an unprecedented track record in residential sales including the sale of Australia’s most expensive home at the time for $11.25 million.

John McGrath has also been a Director on the Board of the since it floated in 2001. REA is now the most successful real estate website in the world today with a market value in excess of $6 billion. John is also a passionate South Sydney Rabbitohs supporter where he also serves on the Board of Directors.
