MEGAN LONGHURST
BOOK CONTESTANTS & FINALISTS FROM THE VOICE

Megan Longhurst is one of Australia’s favourite contestants from the Voice season 3. Based in QLD.

There’s never been any doubt as to what Megan Longhurst wants to do with her life. Dancing since she could walk, singing since she could talk, it was only a matter of time before she appeared on our TV screens and was introduced to a national audience.

The 19-year-old Brisbane Zumba teacher spent her childhood in a string of school musicals, eisteddfods and community events. She proudly recalls an Australian national anthem performance dedicated to her late father, legendary football player Gary… Longhurst to a 50,000-strong crowd at Brisbane’s Stadium as a personal highlight. With a love of most genres Megan is looking to stamp her own musical style on The Voice.

IT was the dream; standing on stage at the end of a nail-biting competition against top talent in Australia, hoping to deliver a sound that made a difference.

And it worked for Inverell’s Megan Longhurst on the final night of The Voice Australia blind auditions. Music legends Kylie Minogue and Joel Madden both turned their chairs to offer Megan a spot on their teams, and Kylie won the day.

Megan’s soaring performance of Don’t Cry Out Loud was a visit back in time. The 19-year-old has been singing the Peter Allen classic for eight years, and it holds a special poignancy for her.
