Davey Woder is this season of X Factor’s surprise package.

Davey stunned the judges and audience at the auditions by saying he didn’t know any cover songs and he was going to sing something he had written himself. A pall of disbelief settled over the panel. Original song – you’ve got to be kidding me, their faces said.

Well he did it and it worked. He got a standing ovation. Guy talked about it being “authentic” and Iggy loved how he had told the story and called him ”awesome”.

Davey Woder performed his original song “Come Home” and went on to perform classics like “With a little help with my Friends” by Joe Cocker, and “Stand By Me” by Ben E King. Recently Davey let his hair out on a heart-stopping rendition of Ed Sheeran’s “Small Bump.

Davey Woder could be Guy Sebastians dark horse and based on previous seasons could go all the way to winning X Factor Season Eight.
