Born and raised in Sydney’s west, C MAJOR is Sydney’s renowned self produced Soul/RnB/Pop/Latin Sensation.

C Major is ultra smooth, fun, cheeky and is a heavyweight in Australia’s music scene.

Most recently seen on The Voice 2014. C Major was part of the top 16 and performed with finesse debuting his brand to the Australian public.

His music is infectious, strong, dynamic and is the perfect blend of Rnb, Neo Soul mixed with a sensual Latino flavour. His charisma is powerful, flirty and infectious.

Biography

Carlos Velazquez (C Major) was born in Concord, Sydney Australia on the 22nd of March 1985. C Major pursued his fathers’ musical influence for a career and lifestyle. He first started performing at school assemblies and events from the tender age of 6.

Carlos then began learning piano through the AMEB (Australian Music Examinations Board) at the age of 8. After 5th grade in piano, his interests developed to further his knowledge in other instruments such as Guitar, Bass, Drums and Percussion. He followed his dream of having a successful career in music to become one of the feature solo artists in the annual ‘Schools Spectacular’ held at the entertainment centre and televised on ABC.

At the age of 15, C Major began composing and producing music and soon won his first award at the ‘kool skools’ song writing competition for best RnB, Pop song.

In 2004, C Major (19) appeared in one of Australia’s most popular reality tv shows ‘Australian Idol 2’ on channel 10, where he was a finalist in the Top 30. He was asked back to the ‘Wildcard’ episode and also to be a part of the ‘Grand Finale’ at the Sydney Opera House as a solo performer.

Following this, C Major performed at most Nightclub venues all over Australia and appeared many times on channel 7, 9 & 10 on Today, Sunrise, Kerri-Anne Kennerly, Carols By Candlelight and more.

C Majors passion for his latin heritage and Latin/Australian community led him to Perform with many Afro-Cuban bands since the age of 14. He also performed in theatre for the Latin based stage show, ‘Cuban Nights’ as a Narrator/Singer/Dancer which toured Sydney, Brisbane, Adelaide and also featured many times on channel 9’s Kerri-Anne Kennelly show.

Following his production passion, C Major teamed with artist/producer Breeze Daniels and started a production company called ‘Suite 110’. Together they have worked/produced/written with many world renown Artists such as: T-Pain, B.O.B, Royce Da 5’9, Wanye Morris (Boys 2 Men), Mars (1500), Fat Man Scoop, Bone Thugs and Harmony, Mr. Porter (Eminem’s Producer), Marvin Priest, Stan Walker, Timomatic, Justce Crew, Young Men Society, and the list goes on.

During this time, C Major has been honing his own craft performing in traditional Latin/Rnb/Pop bands which has really influenced him to define his own unique sound. Working internationally and all over Australia with various artists and groups such as: Guy Sebastian, Stan Walker, Jessica Mauboy, Ricky-Lee, Justice Crew, Gary Pinto, Son Veneno, Paulini, Human Nature, Marcia Hines, John Foreman, The Next Step, Breeze Daniels, Alphamama, Darryl Beaton has all had lucrative influences in his sound and charismatic stage performance.

C Major entered Australia’s The Voice 2014. He worked closely and humbly with Superstars Ricky Martin and Will.i.am. Both claiming him to be a ‘one of a kind’ dynamic artist who is set to make his mark in the music industry now.

C Major delivered brilliant, energetic and completely solid performances and always presented himself as a gentleman. His social media and fan base has exploded and ready for C Major to continue his journey.
