VICTORIA AVENUE

WEDDING AND CORPORATE COVER BAND

Victoria Avenue is a fresh live group performing around Sydney. Made up of perfectly harmonized voices.

Live performance inspiration comes easy to VICTORIA AVENUE. Theirs is a boulevard of dance beats, all-time greatest hits, fashion savvy pop rock, and an Enthusiasm that is unstoppable.

They engage audiences with finely skilled harmonies that deliver brilliant renditions of the best live songs. VICTORIA AVENUE are accomplished stage performers with backgrounds in Dance, Vocal, Stage and Fashion and these young ladies gather the live music elements that are relevant today and bring it to life with an infectious stage presence backed by a rock solid 6 or 7 piece band based in pop, rock, dance and funk grooves.

Ability to scale down, adapt various repertoires, and utilise their own PA also provides numerous Event options from Dinner Events and Weddings to large Corporate parties.

VICTORIA AVENUE understand how their audiences want to be entertained. They mix a Dancing Through the Fire sense, with a Diamonds on Your Timepiece sensibility and just Wanna Make the World Dance.

Girl groups are plentiful, but it’s the truly dynamic and talented ones that can be real gems to come across. Victoria Avenue, Sydney’s latest creation, is set to firmly establish themselves as a musical force to recognise. For Holly, Tiara and Peta, singing and performing has been part of their upbringing, and the passion they bring to their craft is undeniable.

“We all attended the same singing school when we were younger as part of a larger group; we performed together at every show, talent quest, council day and seniors club you can imagine. As we started to take it more seriously, well as serious as you can at 16, the three of us really clicked and decided that we wanted to make music our career.”

Since their formation in 2007, Victoria Avenue has been steadily building a presence on the local Sydney music scene, performing at a variety of venues throughout Sydney. Like all ambitious young artists, the girls have their sights firmly set on bringing their fun brand of Country Rock to the wider national attention.

“We don’t want to be a one hit wonder; we want to stand the test of time introduce our generation to the Australian country music world and show them authentic and live performance is just as exciting as what you hear in the nightclubs. We think a lot of young people are scared off by what they perceive as ‘country’; we want to break the stereotype and introduce them to the wonderful and raw world of country music that artists like Taylor Swift, Kelly Clarkson, Carrie Underwood and Lady Antebellum have done. Country music has given us an avenue to showcase our harmonies and what you can achieve as a group – we just don’t feel you get that in other genres.”

With the last few years seeing Victoria Avenue get some practice in performing in front of the cameras on shows including Australia’s Got Talent and the X Factor, the trio have formed for themselves and energetic and memorable stage presence that translates well to performing for large crowds, as well as the pub gigs they’ve found themselves doing.

“It’s such a buzz to play at a pub and have a really crowded room, with lots of white noise all of a sudden stop and listen. To be able to connect with people over a period of time is awesome. We love doing a gig and getting a Facebook or Twitter message after, and then seeing them the next week with a friend. It’s really cool now we are able to build a strong, loyal and active fan base.”

With support continuing to grow for Victoria Avenue, the girls have kept egos in check, choosing instead to focus on their development as a band and as a brand – a work ethic that has not faltered since they first came together five years ago.

“…If you have a common goal, respect and love for one another, all you can do is try. It’s definitely harder to be in a group; you share the limelight and the perks, but you also share the down and hard times – that’s what makes or break a group. We are a ‘group’ in every sense of the word and we think that really makes us stand out. We all have different strengths and together, we can be the best we can be.”
